It's Valentine's Week!  We celebrated with chocolate, balloons - and hearts for Adult Education and San Mateo Adult School! The San Mateo Adult Student Council sold beautifully wrapped treats and bright, colorful balloons. Students and staff posed for photos in front of a special photo opportunity created by Student Council.     Throughout the week, students posed for photos to express why they love our school and Adult Education. Why do YOU love San Mateo Adult School and Adult Education?

No School Monday, February 19th, Presidents Day There is no school Monday February 19.   The Adult School will be closed on Monday February 16, 2015 because it is Presidents Day. On Presidents Day we honor  President George Washington and President Abraham Lincoln . George Washington was the first president of the United States. His birthday was February 22, 1732. He was a general in the Revolutionary War. The U.S. fought the Revolutionary War against the British. The U.S. won the war. This was the beginning of the United States. Sometimes Washington is known as the Father of our Country. Abraham Lincoln was the president during the Civil War. His birthday was February 12. 1809. He grew up poor and suffered from depression. He had many hardships in his life.
